If you look closely at the Ghost of Starman's sprite, it has a little eye. Sometimes, the enemy will flash a menacing smile. So this is sort of what I think they would looks like. Kind of cool.

Uhhhh... when I was like three I drew a picture of a Foppy DX. (If I ever find it, I'll submit it.) But yeah, this is pretty much a remake of that old picture. It was pretty rad.
